01. The second disk is a collaboration with Linda Perry (Beautiful, Make Over, Im OK, and others).
02. There is a remix version of "Aint No Other Man" featuring Outkast´s Big Boi. No word if it will be on the record. Christina also re-recorded all the vocals to ANOM, so remixer Junior Vasquez will make a new dance remix for the song as well. He is known for doing Mariah´s "Heartbreaker/If you Should Ever be Lonely" Remix.
03. The first Disk features songs with influences from the old eras , mixed with the new modern sound. Disk 2 only has songs that feel really authentic from the old eras, with no pro tools and recorded with live music and orchestra at the same time of the vocals. Christina has already dones this before with Merry Christmas Baby (for My Kind of Christmas).

+ SAVE ME FROM MYSELF
Christina mentions it on OK! Magazine (After the Wedding Special issue) as being a song dedicated to Jordan, saying the song´s tittle is that because this is exactly what he does to her. On the New GQ Magazine, Christina said:
The song 'Save Me from Myself.' [It's recorded] upclose on the mike, with no ad-libs, no nothing, and that's so not like me. No effects, no reverb --and i'm a reverb queen. Every scratch, every little imperfection is there.. It is a track written by Bill Bottrell, Christina and Linda Perry.

Christina leaked Candy Man on the radio. The song is fast and she described it as the happiest, fun song of the record. She also said that is very 50´s inspired and you can almost imagine those pin-up stars singing this song with little sailors outfit (personal note: lol). Some say that the song samples Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. (A song by the Andrew Sisters in 1941). The lyrics to the song goes:
(Tarzan and Jane were swingin' on a vine)
Candy man, candy man
(Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine)
Sweet, sugar, candy man
Hey, uh
I met him out for dinner on a Friday night
He really got me working up an appetite
He had tattoos up and down his arm
There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm
He's a one stop jive, makes my panties drop
He's a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
A sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
Oh yeah yeah
He took me to this cotton club on Hollywood and Vine
We drank champagne and we danced all night
We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise (a big surprise)
?
He's a one stop jive, makes my cherry pop
He's a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
A sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
(Scatting)
He's a one stop jive, makes my cherry pop
He's a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man (oh)
a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
Woo yeah
Well, by now I’m getting all bothered and hot
When he hits my mouth he really hits the spot
Lips like sugar cane, oh
Good things come for boys who wait
(Tarzan and Jane were swingin' on a vine)
Candy man, candy man
(Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine)
Candy man, candy man
(Sweet, sugar, candy man)
He's a one stop, gotcha hot, makin all the panties drop
(Sweet, sugar, candy man)
He's a one stop, got me hot, makes my egh pop
(Sweet, sugar, candy man)
He's a one stop, get it while it's hot, baby don't stop
(Sweet, sugar, candy man)
He got those lips like sugar cane, yeah
Good things come for boys who wait
He's a one stop jive with a real big egh
He's a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
(Say what) a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
(Say) a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man, uh
a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
Oooh yeah, oh oh oh, oh
Candy man, candy man
Candy man, candy man
Candy man, candy man...
Tarzan and Jane were swingin' on a vine
Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine
Jane lost her grip and down she fell
Squared herself away as she let out a yell

+ SLOW DOWN BABY
As Christina did with Candyman, she also leaked this song on the radio. It is going to be on Disk A (modern songs with influences from the oldies) and the lyrics goes:
Stop… slow down baby
Slow down baby
Slow down baby
Slow down baby
Stop, slow down baby
Ohoh yeah, oooh hey, woo
Stop, slow down baby
I can tell that you’re into me
Baby it’s so plain to see
I can see it in your eyes
You’re paralyzed
Every time I pass you by
You’re the kind that gets your way, uh
Baby get it every single day
I can see it all in your face
You’re blown away
Cause I don’t want you in my space
You strut around here like you think that
I can’t do without you
You got some nerve to think that
I would give up everything
Slow down baby, and don’t act crazy
Don’t you know, you can look all you want
but you just can’t touch (just can’t touch, no)
So slow down baby (hey)
I’m not your lady (lady)
Boy you’ll never gonna get it from me
cause I’m with someone
Slow it down, slow it down, ohh oh, slow it, slow it
Stop, slow down baby
After all of the games you played
How’s it feel to finally get a taste?
You can dish it out but you take the bed you’ve made
Boy it ain’t gonna change
I[m not falling for your stupid lies
I know you’ve dished them a thousand times
Say nothing but a nursery rhyme
But I won’t buy it
Baby don’t you even try
You coming ‘round here like
You think that everything’s about you
Think that you can do anything
You realize I’m wearing a ring
Slow down baby (slow down)
and don’t act crazy (crazy, hey)
Don’t you know, you can look all you want
but you just can’t touch (you just can’t touch, no)
So slow down baby (slow down),
I’m not your lady (your lady)
Boy you’ll never gonna get it from me
cause I’m with someone (with someone, hey)
Do you really wanna waste your time
Don’t you have better things to do with life (yeah, woah)
I don’t wanna get you down
But I ain’t never gonna dance around
So how many ways do I have to say yeah…
Slow down baby (slow it down, yeah yeah)
And don’t act crazy
Don’t you know, you can look all you want
But you just can’t touch (you know that you can’t touch no no wooo)
So slow down baby (slow down baby),
I’m not your lady (not your lady)
Boy you’ll never gonna get it from me
cause I’m with someone
(oo, you better stop, slow down baby)
Slow down baby (slow down baby),
and don’t act crazy (and don’t act crazy)
Don’t you know, you can look all you want
but you just can’t touch (you just can’t touch no)
Yeah yeah, yeah, oooh, hey
Ohh, yeah yeah yeah, oooh oh
Stop… slow down baby

+ I GOT TROUBLE
She did this song with Linda Perry. She said she wanted to capture the old school feeling and bad-quality the old records had, so she recorded the song with a piece of cloth in front of the microphone. She also had a cold and drank whisky while recording the song. People who heard it said she sounds exactly like old singers, who sound far away from the mic due the quality of those old blues LP.
People can get what they mean by this description judging the clip that plays on the beggining and end of the ANOM video. The lyrics for those awesome clips are:
I've got trouble, trouble, trouble
Always knockin' at my door
Yes, I'm a whole lotta trouble, baby
Just like a kid in a candy store
Well, I'm nothing but trouble, babe
Not since the day that I was born

+ BACK TO BASICS
It was played on MTV Overdrive a little clip with lyrics that mentions "Back to Basics". It can be a real song, or an intro/interlude, as it features the album´s name.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ HURT
Done by Linda Perry. Christina came to Linda with a sample that kept repeating the same 2 notes over and over, and asked Linda if she could turn that sample into a song about loosing someone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Linda had just lost her father and ended up writting Hurt all by herself - wich wasnt supposed to happen. Christina was sorry to put Linda into that situation, and changed up the lyrics so she could fit them to herself. It is a big ballad about pleading for forgiveness.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ OH MOTHER
Wrote to her mother as a way to thank for everything she did to get herself and her two daughter from her abusive marriage. It talks how Shelly dreamt about a perfect wedding that turned out to be a nightmare.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ PRAY
Features a Choir and is supposed to sound like a gospel inspired song.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ ENTER THE CIRCUS
From Jopie Magazine: In one of your new songs you are singing about 'the biggest spectacle ever'...
... and you wanna know if that's about my life? (laughs) Well... I absolutely wanted a song on my new record that reffered to the circus. Because sometimes in the musicbusiness everything is crazy and the life of an artist is really hectic. That's why there are clown masks, because believe me: in this industrie there are alot of fake people. At the end of the day when the camera's aren't rolling anymore, you realize how lonely you are and that is hard. That's why this song came from.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ Unknown Linda Song
Done with Linda Perry and still untittled, sounds like this, on GQ Magazine: Back to Basics begins with a spooky 1920s carnival fantasia, with producer Linda Perry playing a carnival barker promising thrills and chills: "Welcome to the greatest show ... greatest show on earth!" Then the orchestra sweeps into an Abbey Road-esque chord progression as Aguilera's alto soars.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, this is how Christina describes one of the Linda Perry songs:
''We did a song with a 30-piece string section and [just] my voice". She also told US Weekly that she took off her 4 Grammys (one Spanish) from the shelves so she wont be reminded of her past success while recording this CD.
